Job Description:
The State of Michigan – MDOT is seeking a System Analyst 5 with strong experience in QA automation and Java development within Agile environments. The role focuses on Quality Assurance Testing (QAT), user acceptance testing support, and defect management across multiple projects.
Specialty Areas:
• Selenium Automation – Strong hands-on experience developing and executing test scripts.
• Java Programming – Proficiency in Java for automation and test support.
• Agile Development – Collaboration within Agile teams and experience with iterative testing cycles.
• Defect Management – Tracking and triaging issues during testing, working closely with developers and product owners.
• QA Documentation – Developing test plans, traceability matrices, and completing SEM documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Review project scope and ensure adherence to QA standards and schedules.
• Develop test cases and execute QA testing in alignment with project timelines.
• Lead and support UAT, including training business users and managing test sessions.
• Prepare test data and ensure test environments are ready with all interfaces in place.
• Identify, document, and track defects; participate in triage meetings and backlog prioritization.
• Collaborate with BAs, developers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Support Go/No-Go decisions through QA metrics and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with project SEM documentation requirements.

• Prior experience in state government or transportation-related projects.
